All you need is some cozy clothes and a warm place to spend the night and this winter wonderland becomes your playground, with cross-country ski trails at your doorstep, crisp night skies bursting with stars and new friends gathered around a mid-winter bonfire.

HOW IT WORKS:

With a Wilderness Season Pass, you can stay at any participating HI Canada Wilderness Hostel as much as you want from November 1st to May 31st. You'll also get 20% off stays at HI Banff, HI Jasper and HI Lake Louise between Sundays and Thursdays.

When you purchase your pass using the options below, you'll be emailed your pass information. After making a reservation, please have this emailed pass information available upon check-in (printed or saved as a screenshot on your fully charged phone, as not all hostels have wifi or electricity), along with the photo ID associated with your pass.

As part of its mission, Hostelling International provides safe, comfortable and affordable accommodation for travellers. The HI Wilderness Season Pass is for outdoor enthusiasts who wish to explore and experience the Alberta parks in winter. This pass is not valid for lodging people working in the area.

Valid from November 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.
Closing and blackout dates apply. Seasonal and weekday closures apply.
Valid on dorm beds only and subject to availability.
Stays up to 6 nights in a row.
Standard reservation and cancellation policies apply.
Reservations are required and can be made up to three weeks prior to arrival.
Pass is non-transferable and non-refundable.
The pass cannot be combined with other offers.
