The Whyte Museum

The Whyte Museum in Banff brings the art, culture, and stories of the Canadian Rockies to life. Through exhibitions, archives, and works by local, settler, and Indigenous artists, the museum offers a powerful look at the people and places that shape this region. Located on Treaty 7 territory, the Whyte honours and works alongside the Îyârhe Nakoda, Ktunaxa, Tsuut’ina, and Blackfoot Nations, as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. Their programs focus on preserving both the history and the living cultures of this land.
Like HI Canada, the Whyte believes in meaningful travel, cultural exchange, and protecting the stories that connect us.
