Talking Rock Tours

Talking Rock Tours offers immersive geo-educational walking tours through Edmonton’s River Valley — the largest urban parkland in North America. Led by Métis guide and professional geologist Keith Diakiw, these experiences blend Indigenous knowledge, cultural history, and geological insight to tell the full story of this land.
Choose from the Askiy-Geo Discovery Tour, which explores a sacred burial ground, local fur trade history, and Edmonton’s deep Indigenous roots, or the La Tayr-Geo Discovery Tour, which highlights medicinal plants, river lot history, and Indigenous art at înîw/River Lot 11.
Whether you're into ancient rocks or rooted stories, these walks connect you with the land — past, present, and future.
