Non-PM Region Members : Amalgamation FAQ

Common and frequently asked questions about HI Canada's amalgamation

On March 27, 2023, members of HI Canada Pacific Mountain Region and Hostelling International Canada voted in favour of amalgamation, forming one unified organization called the Canadian Hostelling Association and operating as Hostelling International Canada.

Members of the former HI Canada Pacific Mountain Region are members of the newly amalgamated Canadian Hostelling Association and may participate in governance activities and run for the Board of Directors.

To broaden its membership base, the new Canadian Hostelling Association is extending an invitation to non-PM Region members with valid Hostelling International cards to become voting members too. By becoming a voting member, they too can add their voice to the governance of the Association.
