Housekeeping/Maintenance Lead

HI Squamish, Adventure Inn

At the Squamish Adventure Inn we aspire to be the top West Coast destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Centrally located on the waterfront and nestled between the Coastal mountains, we have some of the best climbing, kiting, biking, kayaking, skiing, hiking and mountaineering around. No other North American destination offers this caliber of outdoor adventure in one location!

This position is permanent part time (28 - 30 hours per week) and starting is negotiable, early 2020. If seeking permanent residency, we could guarantee full time for the right applicant.  


  • Responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the hostel and spearheading improvement projects
  • Daily cleaning of guest rooms and common areas 
  • Housekeeping lead on Supervisor’s days off
  • Supervising housekeeping crew
  • Training and supervising maintenance crew
  • Delegation of tasks to maintenance crew on your days off
  • Coverage of housekeeping and maintenance shifts
  • Annual cleaning projects including deep cleans of the rooms
  • Interacting with guests and providing excellent customer service
  • Contributing to the overall growth of the hostel
  • Reception coverage 


  • Maintenance experience
  • Housekeeping experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in the tourism industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player, friendly, and personable attitude
  • Looking for a long term career and not just a job

Compensation and Work Schedule

Starting salary is $16 - $17.25 depending on experience after 1 month trial period. 

We believe in having time off to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! We also try to keep a consistent work schedule but at times the realities of running a hostel may require additional hours or days with short notice.  

There will also be an on-call component of the job for the mornings before your shift starts.  Compensation is provided when called or if you have to come in.
