Atlantic Region

The HI Canada - Atlantic Region is a non-profit, membership based organization. Formed in July of 2010, the region represents all HI members and hostels in the following provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. Eight hostels operate as part of HI Canada Atlantic Region; two are owned by the association and six are affiliate hostels.

Volunteer Board members and staff work for the betterment of hostelling in the Atlantic, support the National Office and serve over 800 HI members in our region. We encourage education, adventure and cultural understanding through travel. Our goal is to ensure that visitors to our unique region on the Canadian East coast have a positive and memorable hostelling experience.

Our Board of Directors

As a registered not-for-profit, HI Canada - Atlantic Region is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. These people graciously volunteer their time and energy on behalf of the members of HI Atlantic to ensure the region is growing and being managed appropriately.
