Travel Tips & Directions

Directions:

Located 27 km West of Lake Louise on Hwy. 1 (Trans Canada).    Take the turn off of Highway 1 to "Takakkaw Falls;" drive past the Kicking Horse campground and continue on for 13km.  Once Takkakaw Falls comes into sight, watch for the hostel/trailhead sign; parking is on the left hand side of the road.

Bus Directions:
Unfortunately, there is no available bus transportation to the hostel.

Takakkaw Falls is the second-largest waterfall in Western Canada, measuring 384 metres from summit to base. Fed by an icefield's glacier melt, this waterfall provides a stunning vista - right from the hostel's front porch!
